Ah, the joy of comfort food season.
If I could wake up every morning and eat this sweet and comforting bowl of cookies and cream oatmeal for breakfast, I would start my day happy. Unfortunately, this isn’t the healthiest thing in the world to start your day with, but since it is comfort food season, I guess it’s allowed.
Sweet breakfasts are the best breakfasts in my opinion. The combination is perfect: unsweetened vanilla almond milk, steel cut oats, vegan cookies and cream protein powder, creamy almond butter, and sweet banana slices. If that’s not heaven on earth in a bowl then I don’t know what is. This recipe was actually somewhat clean until I added in actual chocolate chip cookie crumbles. Woops..
Now, that addition, of course, is optional. But I like to start my day with chocolate, and end my day with chocolate, so I stay true to the chocolate life. If you’re not into that, opt for a healthier option like almonds, walnuts, or raisins. You could even add vegan dark chocolate chips if you like. Also, Vegan Supply has you covered with vegan versions of notorious junk foods like these chocolate chip cookies, so you don’t feel as bad when you eat them for breakfast like I do.
Stay warm, and stay snacking my friends. XO

I’m the same! I can’t start my day until I’ve had something sweet like oatmeal or pancakes. This looks so yummy, Sera!
